An interesting notion, and definitely worth the play. Action Doom 2: Urban Brawl is a nod to classic beat-em-up games like Double Dragon, POW, and others in the Genre. Action Doom 2 uses the antediluvian Doom 2 engine and breathes in new life, giving a game play style related to classic games. The game places the protagonist in a gritty, comic-inspired world, with nods to Sin City in it's storytelling style. The game utilizes a variety of weapons and seems to keep to the classic play style of two dimensional fighting and brawling games, while working in a pseudo-3d environment. The graphics look crisp and unique, the game play feels solid, and its an interesting, fresh use for an old engine left in the wake of more current gaming developments. Well worth a look!
