Battlefield 1942 Wake Island is a first-person shooter game that can either be played online against human opponents or against the computer. Players adopt the role of soldiers that are then placed in one of five different categories: Scout, Anti-Tank, Assault, Engineer, and Medic.
Another exciting feature of Battlefield 1942 Wake Island is that players can take control of several different World War II airplanes (both fighters and bombers), as well as various ships (including submarines and aircraft carriers), vehicles (tanks and jeeps), and anti-aircraft guns.
Battlefield 1942 Wake Island allows players to create their own mods (modifications), and there are several different mods created by players that change the way players interact with the game.
