H1Z1 pits you against zombies, players, bears and wolves in an epic survival MMO set in post-apocalyptic rural America.

Not many games out there are trying to reinvent the zombie genre like H1Z1 does. The premise of the game is simple: you awaken in the middle of rural America during a zombie outbreak caused by mutated swine flu (H1N1).

From there you’re pitted against other players, animals and wild hordes of zombies that are all trying to kill you. You can try to go it alone, but the best way to play this game is to team up with other survivors and craft shelters, weapons, food and other items to help you survive longer.

While you can expect to die often in this game, it’s good to know that any shelters you craft will still be there waiting for you after you respawn – you just have to make your way back to them. Playing alone in this game can be very boring, but if you’re good at hiding you can go full stealth and take a lot of people down before the bears get to you.

On the whole, H1Z1 brings a lot of interesting new ideas to the zombie survival genre. Give it a try today and see if you like it – but make sure you don't go it alone!

• Strong Co-Op and Multiplayer Many drops can’t be grabbed on your own, so make sure you team up with friends to make the most of things!

• Playing Alone Can be Boring Going solo is possible but it’s not nearly as much fun as working with a team.
