Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a video game based on the same famous book by J.K. Rowling. It's developed for the PC and a number of video game consoles. In this review, we will focus on the PC version, which is unique in some ways.
This game is set in Hogwarts, the academy of wizards and stomping grounds of Harry Potter. Harry is an awkward and troublesome yet well-meaning young wizard with a dark past and an uncertain future. He roams Hogwarts with his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger through a series of adventures that closely parallel J.K. Rowlings' original book. Harry must ultimately face Tom Riddle, the living and youthful phantom of Voldemort.
This game is a great buy for fans of the Harry Potter franchise. Those who don't like Harry Potter may move on. Additionally, the graphics are outdated and the controls are choppy, so if responsive controls and good graphics are among a player's criteria for video game purchases, he or she may also move on. Alternatively, one could buy the console version of the game, where an analog stick will allow finer control than keyboard keys.
