One thing is clear - the battling primates of the freeware top-down shooter game Kong are certainly not peace-loving bonobos. These animated apes are armed to the teeth with katanas, shotguns, rocket launchers, and the dreaded banana cocktail, as well as any armor packs, health packs, and power-ups they can grab along the way. These weapons and more will be put to good use annihilating enemies in any of Kong's three gameplay modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag.
The game can be played against computer-controlled bots in single player mode or against friends over the Internet or a local area network in multiplayer mode. When Kong's pre-installed levels have been conquered, players can build their own levels with the game's included map editor. Players and multiplayer hosts can even fine-tune the game's options with the optional control console.
Once you've experienced Kong's fast gameplay, quality sound effects, and furious violence, you'll agree that "going ape" has never been this much fun.
