Men of Valor is a first person shooter set in Vietnam. You take control of a US soldier and try to navigate the bombed out trenches and jungle of Vietnam and survive the mayhem. Men of Valor follows the now typical first person shooter setup. You run forward, shoot the enemies that pop out, hide, and repeat. The quality of a first person nowadays is how well they disguise this formula and whatever extras they throw in. Men of Valor does a pretty good job of pushing you forward into deadly firefights without actually seeming like it's pushing you. The firefights themselves are loud and exciting, as they should be. The graphics are decent, for a game from 2004. The PC version does not have the co-op campaign options the Xbox version does, sadly. There is online deathmatch and capture the flag multiplayer, which will be nothing new to anyone who has played a similar game online. Overall the game is above average, but nothing extraordinary, most notable for being set in Vietnam.
