As the game begins, players choose a name for their rider and have the chance to select from a line of racing bikes, which vary according to acceleration, speed and handling. With rider and bike selected, players then choose from a quick race, a career race or a new career race. The quick race pits seven riders against each other on a basic track that spans over dirt and asphalt. While competing to win the race, riders earn performance points by completing jumps or literally kicking opponents off of the course. However, opponents often return the favor. Riders might also tangle, crash or venture off the course onto rough terrain. Players may additionally alter the time of day that each race takes place or run each course in reverse.

During the race, a map illustrates the rider's progress around the course. Displays also provide the bike speed and the time of each competitor. The graphics are detailed, sharp and include varied city or country terrain. The colorful scenery includes everything from forested areas, bodies of water and mountainous backgrounds. City landscapes feature different buildings and road obstacles. While riding on unpaved roads, dust realistically rises from the rear tires of each bike. Sound effects include the varied speed of bike engines, chirping birds and the booing or cheering of spectators.

With no expense involved, the game is entertaining and fun. The longer one plays, the more skilled riders become in outwitting opponents while avoiding disaster.
