Nation Red is a top down zombie shooter. You take control of a survivor and try to take down as many zombies as possible in several different game modes. There's a campaign, survival, and free play mode. The campaign is a series of short missions with no real story. The survival and free play modes are simple enough, but don't offer much variety or additions to keep things fresh. The guns are varied and work well. The controls are what you would expect and don't get in the way. The graphics are fairly good for an indie game. The issue with the game is that there's nothing really interesting or different to keep you interested. There's a level and perk system but it resets every time you start a mode. With no story or permanent stats, the game has to rely on its basic gameplay, which is so average that you could find it anywhere. If you really love shooting zombies, this could be worth a try. But don't expect anything exceptional.
