Quake 4 is an first person shooter action game and is the fourth installment of the Quake game franchise. The first Quake computer game dates back to the year 1996, and the games are usually known for their multiplayer modes. Quake 4 has improved upon single player mode and has added an extensive story line voiced by popular movie actors.
The player takes control of Marine soldier Matthew Cain, helping fight a war against a race of cybernetic aliens named the Strogg. Continuing the story of Quake 2, the game takes the player on an action packed journey through the planet Stroggos. With stunning graphics that are sometimes too graphic, the player can take control of a variety of classic weapons. The game features the pistol, assualt rifle, double barrel shotgun, grenade launcher, rail gun, hyperblaster, rocket launcher, and much more in the standard first person Quake set up.
Multiplayer games can have up to 16 participants with 6 different modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Tourney, Capture the Flag, Arena CTF and DeadZone. If you are a fan of Quake multiplayer and a fan of Doom 3, this game is exactly what you are looking for.
