Designed by gamers, for gamers, Raidcall is a priceless chat utility for guilds in any virtual realm. Based on the ideas put forth by Mumble and Ventrilo, Raidcall is a voice communication program made to work with MMORPGs of all stripes. It is a fantastic utility with a number of features you won't find elsewhere.
Raidcall offers the usual range of voice communication abilities. Open mice and push to talk features allow voice on demand. A chat window allows voiceless users to participate in conversations. Users can customize their display names and rack up points to increase their rank in the room.
Each user is able to create their own unique Raidcall room, identified by it's own number. Other users can use this number to connect, or they can be invited by the owner of the room.
The typical Raidcall window has three panes. To the left is the room and user selection. Each primary room can have many sub-rooms, named as the room owner pleases. Users can move between these rooms freely, and only users in the same sub-room can hear each other over voice.
To the right on the bottom is the chat window. This is where all text communications are displayed in a given sub-room. Above it is the announcements pane, essentially a customizable website the room owner is able to edit. It can display as little as the room name or as much as a list of rules, favorite music links and more.
Raidcall offers a stereo feature that allows users to broadcast music without destroying their voice quality; music mode broadcasts through PC hardware, bypassing the mic completely.
With an unlimited range of communications features, active support and high quality voice transmission, Raidcall is one of the best possible voice communication tools available to gamers today.
