A 2D side-scrolling video game for the iOS mobile devices, "rComplex" features a simplistic visual style and a straightforward set of controls. The player's character, an amnesia victim trying to recover his lost memory, automatically runs from left to right across the screen, while a black, tentacled monster gives hot pursuit. Players swipe up on the touch screen to jump and swipe down to slide beneath obstacles, all in an effort to collect enough memory boxes to clear the level and get one step closer to recovering lost identity. A gun with limited ammunition and a single-use scythe weapon offer the character's only defense. And if the character falls or runs into an obstruction, the pursuing monster gains ground, creeping ever closer until it can seize and kill its prey. The basic color palette, featuring mostly blood red and washed-out blue against black silhouettes, helps separate "rComplex" from similar running-themed games.
