Telltale Games
Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die is the fourth episode in the first season of Telltale's reboot of the Sam and Max franchise. As with the other Telltale episodic games, Abe Lincoln Must Die is available to play separately from the rest of the season, though the story is probably better enjoyed if you have played the three previous episodes. Players will find themselves again controlling Sam the dog and Max the rabbit as they use their freelance policing skills to yet again thwart a dastardly plot in this point-and-click adventure game.
If the title didn't give it away, Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die sees the Freelance Police investigating some disturbing news in Washington DC. The President has begun acting very strangely, and at first it would seem as though he has been hypnotized into passing odd laws and enacting weird policies. Max has a different hunch, however, and discovers that the President isn't hypnotized, but is in fact a robot being controlled by a mysterious organization.
Without spoiling too much, a massive Abraham Lincoln robot disguised as the Lincoln Memorial is then brought in as plan B, and it's up to Sam and Max to prevent Abe from causing any more trouble for the United States. While the game is fairly short, both Sam and Max fans and newcomers alike should be able to enjoy the game's crazy brand of humor. The difficulty is just right, and the story is guaranteed to be unlike anything you've ever experienced.
