SeaWar is an advanced Battleship clone for Windows-based PCs. Battleships is the classic guessing game by Milton Bradley. SeaWar is currently in its third iteration, and it boasts excellent graphics, authentic sound effects, a diverse soundtrack, multiple game modes, a skinnable interface, seven levels of complexity and strong artificial intelligence. Players can adjust the AI level simply by dictating how long the computer has to “think.”
In addition to single player, SeaWar supports multiplayer on the same computer, on a local area network and via the Internet. SeaWar 3 does not have a built-in matchmaking service, but there are SeaWar communities that players can use to socialize and find matches, leaderboards, tournaments and other events. In fact, at the main SeaWar forums, players can meet other players, find matches and download UI skins, many of which are made by the community. The game also has an innovative quick hide mode that makes multiplayer on a local computer possible.
