Shank 2 is a sequel to Shank, a downloadable action title. Shank 2 is not a complete redo of the first game, but it does fix almost all the complaints about the first game. If you enjoyed the first game, then this one will definitely by right up your alley. Shank 2 is a sidescrolling action game with lots of blood and violence. Over several large multi-stage areas, you will have to cut, shoot, and blast your way through many different enenimies. The variety of enemies and their abilities gives the game a random element and makes you choose targets quickly or face a withering hail of fire. The controls are far more responsive than in the first game, and makes dodging and switching weapons a lot easier. Another difference is that there is no co-op this time, but waves of enemies based multiplayer. The campaign is only a couple hours long, but its a blast. The co-op is nice for something else to do when you're done with it, but isn't very creative or exciting. Overall, a much better game than the first, a very strong 2d action title.
