Shattered Origins is a tactical shooter set in space with a lot of elements from other genres added to spice it up. There's rpg like stats, a strategy elements, all layered over the arcade shooter base. You can fly around in a 3d area, dogfighting with lots of other enemies. You can switch between the other ships on your side to access different abilities and weapons, so there's a good amount of variety. The campaign has a decent story and is pretty long, so there is value in the game if you enjoy the gameplay itself. The graphics are pretty good, especially for an indie game, the backgrounds and environments depict some beautiful sci-fi battlefields. The sound is average and isn't anything to speak of. Overall, a fairly entertaining indie game for space shooter fans.
