This is a remake of the classic Sonic game with a few more details.

The graphics and sounds of this game are stunning. It has the feel of the older version of the game with a modern update. Load times are fast with few glitches. There are a few maps with the game so that you know where you're going in the world of Sonic. Perhaps that biggest difference overall isn't with the story of the game but with the details. Colors are enriched, and the effects make it feel like you could reach through the screen to enter the video world. However, there aren't really any 3D effects that you'll see, which can be disappointing to some.

You'll see that the game begins as the original does and follows the same challenges that Sonic had to endure. He has a few weapons that he can use against enemies. There are also tools that he has available to make him run faster through the levels. Keep as many weapons and bonuses stocked as you can as some of the higher levels are hard to get through. This is a game that brings a good bit of nostalgia. When you're hopping over the grassy hills and avoiding some of the fish that jump from the water to try to snag you, you'll realize that it's just like playing the game on an original console instead of on your computer. Sonic even has a few vehicles that he can drive.
