SpeedRunners

SpeedRunners is a platform game that you can play with up to four of your friends. As it's name implies, the game is centered around running, but you get to do a lot more than just make a mad dash for the finish line. As you run, you will have to do many different kinds of stunts, jumps and acrobatics if you want to stay ahead of your friends and not get left behind.

There are several different maps that you can play on, each with a unique layout. Along the way, you get to find various bonuses, accessories that you can use as part of your stunts and can get penalized if you get a move wrong. The game is very fast-paced, so you need to be paying attention to your screen every second to keep from falling into a trap or missing an opportunity to leave your opponents in the dust.

SpeedRunners lets you challenge your friends online or by playing on the same screen in a mode that is reminiscent of classic video games. These two play modes let you have fun whether your friend are in the same room with you or halfway around the world.

The game comes with simple graphics that make it look like you're playing one of the retro Super Nintendo titles. It's also lightweight and not too demanding on your PC, so you don't need to have the latest and greatest gaming rig to make it work. Any computer that can run Windows XP can run SpeedRunners. The game is still in beta and has a limited number of levels, so unless you really get into its style, it will likely become a bit repetitive.
