This is a simulation game that takes place in the ocean.
Playing Subnautica might seem easy, but it takes a bit of strategy. You are in the ocean on a submarine, but you are on an alien planet with odd resources and characters who don't want you to succeed as much as you might think. The game beings when the spaceship that you are on crashes into the water. There is an emergency capsule that you can live in until help arrives or until you find the means to get out of the water and onto the land.
You'll have to look in the water, usually near the bottom of the ocean, to find the materials that you'll need to build everything from a life buoy to a submarine. There are also materials to use to build oxygen tanks. Although the concept of the game is simple, it does take time to load, and you have to get used to the controls of the game. Some of the environments that you'll play in are so crowded with everything from plants to animals and even a few aliens that you'll want to just give up playing, but if you do, then you'll lose the items that you've already found and made unless you save the game. Since most of the game takes place in the water, many of the colors are shades of blue, making it hard to see what you're looking for when searching for supplies.
