Synaesthete Team
Some people might notice that Synaesthete refers to a person with the neurological condition known as synesthesia. People with this condition often visualize sounds or match up certain sensations with colors. It is a powerful extra sense that might be deemed euphoric when applied to music. Altered perception is a rather unique basis for a music game, but it makes some sense when people think about how often dancers talk about the otherworldly emotions that come at one when they're in motion.
As a game that is somewhat like Dance Dance Revolution, Synaesthete tries to bring the euphoria associated with busting a move to the small screen. However unlike many dance games, this one actually has an object. One is required to hit a sequence of musical notes in order to defeat an enemy that is attempting to ruin the player's day. The pounding soundtrack is sure to be a hit with anyone that appreciates edgy electronic music. Interestingly enough, Synaesthete is another game that was developed by students at the DigiPen Institute of Technology. One might be correct in assuming this means that the game is a bit deficient in the graphics department. However, few games are quite as unique as those that come from the minds of college students.
