Universe Sandbox 2

Universe Sandbox 2 is a space simulator that lets you build your own solar systems and galaxies, play with astrophysics and more.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen to the rest of the solar system if you put a blackhole in the middle of Earth, or what would happen if our sun shifted to a blue dwarf, then this game is for you.

While there is no actual plot, no guides to tell you what to do and no goals to achieve, Universe Sandbox 2 is a lot of fun for space nerds and others that want a better understanding of astrophysics.

It’s important to point out (at least as of this writing) that this software is still in beta. Its physics engine isn’t as realistic as the original game, so expect it to be a little buggy (and a little more fun, too!)

Pros

• The Ultimate Space Simulator You can simulate anything imaginable in space with this game – even the end of our solar system.
• No Rules, Unlimited Freedom There are no rules in this game, no goals, and no storyline, just unlimited gameplay that lets you experiment with space physics.
• Great (If Sometimes Unrealistic) Physics System The latest physics engine powering this version of the simulator is quite amazing and fast, but it can stray from reality (especially when it comes to white holes).

Cons

• No Instructions This is a simulation game, plain and simple. If you’re looking for a game where you have objectives to achieve you might want to pick up something else instead.
• Can be Difficult to Play There are no rules and the controls can be a little complex, so this game might not be good for younger children and teens.
